Kale Burrito Bowl

This recipe includes foods that will help with the managing of anxiety.

Benefits: Rich in magnesium, a good source of vitamin B and mood-boosting selenium. High in complex carbohydrates helping you to stay fuller for longer.


1/4 cup lime juice

1/2 jalapeno pepper

1/4 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup fresh cilantro

1/4 tsp chilli powder

1/4 cayenne pepper

1 cup brown rice

1 avocado

1 shallot

1-2 cups curly kale

2 tbsp olive oil

2 cans black beans

3 garlic cloves


1. Cook rice as per package instructions

2. Make the kale salad by whisking together lime juice, olive oil, chopped jalapeno, cumin, and salt. Mix into kale

3. Warm beans in saucepan with 1 tbsp of heat resistant oil, add shallot, garlic, chilli powder and cayenne pepper cook for 5-7 minutes

4. Serve in a bowl starting with rice, then add your beans and kale salad

5. Slice avocado place on top of serving
