Foods to make you poop

Constipation is a common issue in women especially when the hormones go a little wacky, but also our fast-paced lifestyle and heightened stress levels mean we can end up being backed up. While it is a topic many women shy away from it is important, that we have a healthy bowel movement.

I know we like an easy life, but I always suggest you refrain from non-natural laxatives to enhance a bowel movement as the body can end up relying on them. You want foods that you can easily add to your diet daily such as green leafy vegetables {kale, spinach, spring greens, kale nero, wild rocket etc}, berries {blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries} pears/green apples, fennel tea, prunes, dates, and or seeds {flaxseeds,chia seeds, sunflower seeds}. If you currently eat fibre-rich foods and still experience constipation then your bowels may be dry so you need to step up your water intake by drinking a minimum of at least 2 litres per day.

p.s Try making juice with these ingredients and even eat some fruit before you go to bed to get the bowels going
