We all have them, a day at work where everything feels like it going wrong. Your mood changes throughout the day and by the time you get home you are probably in a funk and just can’t shift that energy.
Well, that was me last week just full of stressful energy because of everything that went wrong decided to do just that and I was unsettled and couldn’t shake the vibe. I had to have a word with myself to help me get a grip.
We all know the saying that it is our reaction to our stress that is important and not necessary the stressor itself. In minor cases like this yes, I agree in other cases it is just natural to react in a particular way.
I thought I would share with you some of the ways I wind down after a stressful day.
#1 – I place my phone on silent
#2 – I put my diffuser on in my bedroom and add some lavender oil
#3 – I have a hot bath with some magnesium salts or Epsom salts
#4- I play some soft calming music to take the edge come off
#5 – I have an early night
On this particular day, I started to feel myself unwind as I completed each step.
