Stress Awareness Month - Pt 2

Acknowledging Stress Awareness Month.

What is Stress?

Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. It’s the body's reaction to a challenge or demand and can have both a positive and or negative impact, as the body can react to these changes physically, mentally, and emotionally.

As mentioned in pt 1 of the Stress Awareness series, stress can negatively impact our hormone and gut health which can then trigger minor and or major health illnesses. It can also stimulate mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.

Our ability to make stress is important, especially if we consistently experience low levels of stress as that too can have a negative impact on our health over time.

Managing Stress

We can manage our stress by making changes to our diet and introducing supplements such as Adaptogen herbs. Adaptogen herbs have been used for centuries in traditional medicine practices to promote balance in many systems of the body, They are known to create both energy and a sense of calm helping the body better manage stress emotions, and or events.
