Tofu stir fry

Benefits: Soy products contain nutrients that help stabilise serotonin levels, this recipe is another good source of mood-enhancing nutrients.


1 lb extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed

1 red bell pepper, roughly chopped

1 medium red onion, roughly chopped

1 12 oz bag fresh broccoli florets (about 5 cups)

2 tbsp avocado oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Serve with brown or cauliflower rice, green onions and sesame seeds, for garnish


  1. In a pan heat avocado oil

  2. Once the oil is hot (check to make sure tofu sizzles when you add it to the pan)

  3. Add tofu and cook, flipping frequently, for about 10 minutes

  4. After about 5 minutes add remaining ingredients, and cook for a further 5 minutes (check all sides of the tofu are golden)

  5. Serve with brown and or cauliflower rice
