With all the holidays coming up, how do you stay in tune with your eating patterns so your hormones don't go back into overdrive and create a party of mishap like they did previously?
It's not that easy when the chocolate cake is calling you, the cheese board has your name on it but you know all that dairy might be causing body inflammation, and those lovely pastries are just making your liver more sluggish which is sending those hormones into chaos.
So how do you manage to enjoy the holidays and keep the hormones balanced? It's not easy and will take a lot of intentional action, and if you mess up a little bit it's ok because you just reset yourself. Let's not say everything in moderation because that means so many things to different people.
How about we say let's create a plan which is easy to follow:
Different imbalances need different attention and foods, but we will just work with the core and simple techniques to get you through.
Start your day every morning with a gentle liver support by drinking water with juice from a lime or a lemon. If you can manage it, just add some cayenne pepper.
Try delaying fats until midday to help support your liver's natural cleanse cycle.
Make yourself a juice with fresh fruits or vegetables to have in the morning to add lots of nutrients to the body.
Eat lots of vegetables with your lunch and/or dinner yet again to provide your body with lots of nutrients.
When it comes to alcohol and treats, have them mindfully and drink water in between to keep your body hydrated.
The days when you're not indulging, take the opportunity to do some clean eating by just enjoying fruits and vegetables and lots of water. That way your hormones can remain balanced and not be totally impacted by your foods.
